Mallory Loflin, Ph.D.

Mallory joined atai Life Sciences in 2022. Previously, Mallory was the Associate Director of Clinical Development at Greenwich Biosciences/GW Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Jazz Pharma in 2021) where she was responsible for trial design and clinical oversight for multiple Phase 2-4 studies in neurology and psychiatry testing cannabinoid-based molecules.

Prior to joining the biopharmaceutical industry, Mallory was the founder and director of the first clinical-stage cannabis/cannabinoid lab funded by the US Department of Veterans Affairs (The C.A.N.N.A.B.I.S. Lab) at the VA San Diego Hospital and UC San Diego campus.  Mallory continues to serve as volunteer faculty within the Department of Psychiatry at the UC San Diego School of Medicine.

Dr. Loflin earned her bachelors in psychology at the University of Washington and master’s and Ph.D.s in clinical psychology at the University at Albany (SUNY).  She completed her clinical internship at the VA San Diego Hospital and UC San Diego School of Medicine and postdoctoral fellowship with the US National Center for PTSD.
